Russell Springs Police Chief Bryan Shepard reported a busy month for the department, with nearly 100 more calls for service than June of last year.
Russell Springs Police reported 38 arrests last month, with 6 alcohol-related arrests and 6 drug-related arrests.
The department performed 58 traffic stops and worked 23 traffic accidents last month.
Through the first half of the year, Russell Springs Police report 11 arrests for alcohol DUI and have made 25 felony arrests. Year-to-date, Russell Springs Police officers have worked 109 traffic accidents.
