Russell Springs man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop

A Russell Springs man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop just after midnight this morning.

Russell Springs Police say Officer Kendall Catron was patrolling at around 12:30 this morning on West Highway 80 when he pulled over a vehicle for equipment violations.

Drugs were discovered during the traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of 46-year-old Richard Crockett.

Crockett was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Crockett was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. He was assisted on scene by Russell Springs Police Officer Blake Adamson.
