Russell County Hospital held a groundbreaking for its new expansion/renovation project earlier today.
The new expansion will nearly double the size of the hospital with a new emergency room, new equipment, a new registration space, more office space, and more parking, among many other improvements.
One of the special guests at today’s groundbreaking ceremony was U.S. Representative James Comer, who represents Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, which includes Russell County.
Comer applauded the work of the hospital administration for making the investment for the expansion.
