First day of summer meal pickup is today

The first day of the Russell County Schools summer meal pickup is today.

Meal pickup will take place from 10:30 until noon today.

Pickup locations include Jamestown Elementary, Russell Springs Elementary, Salem Elementary, and the Russell County Public Library.

Meals are free for all kids and teens ages 18 and under.

Officials with the meal pickup remind those picking up meals to have their required car tags when visiting one of the locations to pick up meal kits.
