KY Dept of Fish and Wildlife to hold prescribed burns around Lake Cumberland

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced it plans to hold prescribed burns around Lake Cumberland.

These burns will take place periodically throughout the remainder of March and April.

Fire experts conduct these controlled burns across the state to help restore the health of local ecosystems that depend on fire.

Signs will be posted and gates will be closed at all access points to project locations. Adjacent landowners will also be notified of the burns.
