Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford could soon be getting a new four-year contract.
The board of education voted unanimously at yesterday’s meeting to authorize board chair Dick Kazsuk and co-chair Brenda Higginbotham, along with the board attorney, to negotiate a new contract with Ford.
WJRS News spoke to Kazsuk following yesterday’s meeting.
Kazsuk said a new contract shows the board’s approval of Ford’s performance as superintendent.
Kazsuk said the new contract will be presented for board approval at the next meeting. The next scheduled board meeting is Monday, April 21.
Ford has served as Superintendent of Russell County Schools since 2013.
