We have an update on the bill in the state legislature that would allow 15-year-olds in Kentucky to apply for a driver’s permit.
That bill passed in the state senate this week by a 36-1 vote. State Senator Rick Girdler, who represents Russell County, voted in favor of the bill.
The bill then returned to the house and passed easily. Representative Josh Branscum voted in favor of the bill.
The bill now goes to Governor Andy Beshear to either be signed into law or vetoed.
