A resolution filed by Representative Josh Branscum to name Highway 127 in Russell County in memory of fallen sheriff’s deputy Joshua Phipps passed through the Kentucky House today.
The resolution was introduced in January, and now heads to the state senate for approval.
The bill would name the section of U.S. 127 that goes through Russell County the “Deputy Sheriff Joshua Phipps Memorial Highway. ”
If it passes, the bill states that signage should be added along the highway within 30 days.
