Fire crews from multiple departments battled a wildfire in the Poplar Mountain area near the Wayne/Clinton County line last night.
The fire reportedly began as a burn on private property that got out of control due to weather conditions.
Crews were on scene for several hours battling the blaze last night.
It’s unknown at this time if there were any property damages from the fire.
