Greensburg man arrested for assaulting officer, driving under the influence

A Greensburg man was arrested last night on charges including assault of a police officer and driving under the influence.

30-year-old Dustin Pegg was arrested and charged with assault third degree involving a police officer and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.

Pegg also faces charges of resisting arrest, menacing, and disorderly conduct second degree.

Pegg was arrested by Deputy Tyler Pearson with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just after 9:30 last night.
