Lakers fall to Bulldogs in district championship, play in 4th Region tournament next week

The Russell County Lakers fell to the Clinton County Bulldogs in the 16th District championship Friday night by a score of 79-57.

Dylan Stanelle led Russell County with 18 points, and Owen Loy scored 13. Mayes Gosser and Bryson Irvin scored 8 points each.

The Lakers begin play in the 4th Region Tournament next week. The Lakers will face off against the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats next Tuesday at 6:30 at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green.
