Two people injured in two-vehicle collision

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 127 in Russell Springs yesterday evening.

Russell Springs Police say the collision occurred at around 4:30 yesterday evening at the intersection of Highway 127 and Joe T. Petty Drive near the entrance to Russell County Hospital.

Reports are a 2006 Ford Escape operated by 56-year-old Jeffrey Milburn of Russell Springs collided with a 2017 Volkswagen operated by 50-year-old Jennifer Hardin, also of Russell Springs.

Hardin was transported by Russell County EMS to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries. Milburn was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

Russell Springs Police Officer Brenton Llane is leading the investigation. The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
