Lakers, Lady Lakers fall at Cumberland County

The Laker and Lady Laker Basketball teams were defeated at Cumberland County Friday night.

The Lady Lakers fell to the Lady Panthers by a score of 46-32.

Rachel Bolin finished with 11 points, followed by Addy Abrell with 8, Aniyah Coffey with 6, and Karley Luttrell with 5.

In the nightcap, the Lakers fell to the Panthers by a score of 87-83 in overtime.

Maddox Shearer led Russell County with 23 points, followed by Mayes Gosser with 22 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Owen Loy scored 17 and Dylan Stanelle added 13.

The Lakers and Lady Lakers will be back in action tomorrow, going on the road to Metcalfe County for a district doubleheader. The girls game will tip off at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Metcalfe County High School and we’ll have coverage live right here on Laker Country 104.9.
