The annual Lake Cumberland Thunder Run, a major event held on Lake Cumberland each year that draws tourists from around the country, will be held later in June this year.
Thunder Run typically is held on Father’s Day weekend each year, but this year, the event will be held June 27 and 28.
The change was reportedly made due to concerns in recent years about seasonal rainfall that caused problems with debris in the water.
Lake Cumberland Thunder Run is organized by the Lake Cumberland Powerboat Club and hosted out of State Dock.
