Franklin “Frank” Lee Heath, Jr., age 76, of Lakeland, Florida

Franklin “Frank” Lee Heath, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida, passed from this life Monday, January 6, 2025. He was 76 years of age.

Frank was born November 26, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of the late Franklin Lee Sr. and Opal May Aldridge Heath. He was a United States Army veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Frank retired from Cosco (now Dorel) of Indiana. He was a man with an excellent work ethic; being mechanically minded, he was also skilled at woodworking and construction. Frank loved living in Florida and its beaches, especially Clearwater Beach. He loved visiting Disney with his family and was a Tampa Bay Rays fan. Frank was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed playing baseball.

He was stubborn and strong-willed but loved his family dearly with his soft heart.

Frank is survived by his son, Anthony Heath, of Lizton, Indiana; his daughters, Sara “Nikki” (and Jason) Hall, of Bowling Green, Lori Soliven, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Belinda (and Jerry) Heath-Black, Lebanon, Indiana and Edie (and Michael) Foley-Thompson, of Charleston, South Carolina; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Frank is preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. CST Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Pastor Laura Vincent officiating. Burial will follow in Owens Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Hall, Jason Noel, Don McClure, Ethen Spencer, Michael Thompson, Jerry Black, Dustin Heath and Tony Heath. Military honors will be conducted by the Russell County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held after 12:00 noon CST Sunday, until time of funeral services.
