While Tuesday contended for the hottest day of the year, data from the local mesonet site shows that yesterday’s temperatures were the hottest of 2024 locally.
The air temperature came in at 93.8 degrees yesterday afternoon, the hottest air temperature recorded by the mesonet site this year.
High temperatures continue today, and the National Weather Service in Louisville is continuing to advise people to be cautious if outdoors for extended periods of time. The weather service advises people to drink extra water, take frequent breaks, and wear light and loose clothing.
