Clinton County woman wins KSP Trooper Island raffle

A Clinton County woman has won the Kentucky State Police Trooper Island raffle at the Kentucky State Fair.

Lois Melton of Albany won a 2024 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible, or $50,000 cash, whichever she chooses.

The drawing was held on Sunday, the final day of the Kentucky State Fair.

Melton’s name was randomly drawn from Approximately 33 thousand tickets which were sold.

All proceeds go to Trooper Island, which was developed by Kentucky State Police in 1965 as a camp for under-privileged children.

In 2025, Trooper Island will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

To commemorate the occasion, KSP will give away a 2025 Artic White Corvette Stingray. Tickets will go on sale across the state next month.
