Kentucky State Police is seeking the public’s help with the ongoing investigation into a fatal accident this past weekend involving a child and an off-duty police officer in Pulaski County.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team has been requested by KSP Post 11 to continue the investigation into the collision that occurred Sunday evening that resulted in the death of a juvenile.
Anyone who may have witnessed the off-road motorcycle operated by the juvenile or the Lancaster Police Dodge Durango police vehicle, on or near US 27 near Old Norwood Road in Pulaski County prior to the collision, which occurred at around 11:45 last Sunday night is encouraged to contact state police.
State Police say a Dodge Durango police vehicle, operated by Officer Derrick A. Glover, 31, of Nancy was traveling south on U.S. 27 when his vehicle collided with the rear of a red Coleman 196cc off-road motorcycle, operated by a juvenile, who was not wearing a helmet.
The collision resulted in the death of that juvenile. Glover was not injured in the collision.
