KSP releases details from weekend fatal accident in Millerfield community

Kentucky State Police Post 15 released details last night about the fatal lawnmower vs truck accident that occurred on Saturday.

According to state police, the collision occurred Saturday just before 4 p.m. when a truck traveling east on Highway 76 operated by 71-year-old Larry Goodin of Columbia collided with a lawnmower operated by 78-year-old Ralph Grider of Columbia.

State Police say the truck Goodin was operating collided with the rear of Grider’s lawnmower in the eastbound lane.

Grider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Goodin refused medical treatment on scene by Adair County EMS.

The collision remains under investigation by Sergeant Adam Likins.
