Carpenter says new year, new facilities bring excitement for RC Athletics

The new school year brings a lot of excitement and opportunities for many.

For Russell County High School Athletics Director Michael Carpenter, the new year, along with the new facilities for athletics, brings a lot of optimism and joy.

Carpenter spoke to WJRS News about what it means to be able to open up the new First National Bank Athletic Complex and begin a new school year.

The first home football game at the new Finley Field will take place on Friday, August 23.
