The price of gas is a topic of conversation among many as prices have risen over the last week.
In Russell County, according to AAA’s gas price tracker, the average price is $3.49 per gallon.
That is on par with neighboring Casey and Pulaski counties, but higher than some other neighboring counties.
In Adair County, the average price according to AAA is $3.41, while Cumberland and Clinton counties are noticeably lower at $3.27 and $3.31, respectively.
AAA reports the average price in Wayne County at $3.39.
The average price statewide is $3.38 and $3.59 nationally.
