A statewide tornado drill will be taking place this morning.
Those in Russell County will hear the tornado sirens sound at the time of the drill, which is scheduled for 9:07 this morning.
The Emergency Alert System will also go out across radio and television as well as NOAA weather radios.
Weather officials say this drill is a great opportunity to practice your tornado safety plan, whether you are at home, school, or work.
