The Russell County Animal Welfare League was presented a Lake Area Foundation a Community Development Grant for $5,000 during the league’s special open house event on Sunday in Russell Springs.
Lake Area Foundation Board Member Hershell Key made the presentation of the funds.
The grant, which was accepted by League President Connie Foster, will assist Russell County senior citizens with the cost of spay and neuter services for their pets at the new mobile clinic that is coming to Russell County.
