Russell County is seeing quite a bit of success with Airbnb, a vacation rental company that allows people to book properties for vacations online.
According to the company in 2021, Russell County Airbnb hosts brought in $760,000 over the course of the year, which was among the 10 highest earnings of Kentucky’s 120 counties.
Counties in Kentucky brought in a combined total of around $27 million in 2021.
