Jamestown man arrested on assault, strangulation charges

A Jamestown man was arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday evening on assault and strangulation charges.

Charles Durrant Jr. was arrested and charged with strangulation first degree and assault fourth degree – domestic violence.

Durrant was arrested by Deputy Nathan Bradshaw and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.
