The Russell County Laker Football team fell short against Allen County-Scottsville on the road Friday night by a score of 37-7.
With the loss, the Lakers move to 2-7 on the season and sit at 4th place in the district at 1-3 in district play.
With the win, along with a Franklin-Simpson victory over Warren East Friday, Allen County-Scottsville, Franklin-Simpson, and Warren East sit in a three-way tie atop the district with each team at 3-1 in the district.
The Lakers will play their regular season finale this Friday when they host the LaRue County Hawks, who come in with a record of 3-6.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
