The Jamestown Police Department is reminding local residents that the Jamestown Square will be closed for Lakefest this weekend, and traffic patterns will be changed.
Jamestown Police say the square will be closed from around 3 p.m. on Friday until midnight. The square will be closed on Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The square will be blocked off up to two blocks in all directions.
Jamestown Police advise motorists to expect increased traffic volumes and periodic delays around the square. Motorists should plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destination, or utilize alternate routes if possible.
Motorists are also reminded to use extra caution in the areas around the square and look out for pedestrians, as well as police officers and other traffic control personnel.
