Authorities in Clinton County continue search for alleged Tennessee murder suspect

Authorities in Clinton County are continuing the search for an alleged murder suspect from Pickett County, Tennessee.

Clinton County Sheriff Ricky Marcum released a statement this morning, stating Jesse Phillips – who is accused of murder second degree – remains at large.

Marcum says the sheriff’s office, in conjunction with authorities from Tennessee, have followed multiple leads, searched several areas, and conducted numerous interviews as part of the investigation and search for Phillips. Marcum said deputies have searched through multiple wooded areas, as well as cabins and trailers in the search for Phillips.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of Phillips. Anyone with information can contact one of the agencies involved or by calling 911.

Marcum said the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to follow leads and search for Phillips. Marcum said he and the sheriff’s office hope to see a peaceful resolution to the manhunt.
