Russell Springs City Pool open for the season; Tuesday night swim expanded this year

The Joseph Smith Hayes Memorial Pool at the Russell Springs City Park officially opened for the season this past weekend.

City Pool Manager Scott Jones was recently a guest on Community Conversation and spoke about the preparation that goes into opening the pool for the summer.

Pool hours are Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., weather permitting. The pool is bringing back the popular Tuesday night swim, with expanded hours, according to Jones.

Admission is $5, but children age 3 and under receive free admission at the pool. The city also has pool passes available for purchase for $35.
