Another candidate has filed to run for a seat on the Jamestown City Council.
Ada Marcum Lawson filed paperwork yesterday to seek a seat on the council.
Lawson has previous experience serving on the council. She was appointed to the council in January 2022 and served for a year after now-mayor Regena Hinton was appointed as the city’s interim mayor.
Candidates have until next Tuesday, June 2 to file for offices such as mayor or city council in Russell Springs and Jamestown or school board.
