The Kentucky State Legislature has entered the veto period of this year’s session.
Keith West has more on what this period entails.
Among the bills vetoed so far is House Bill 312, which allows those between the ages of 18 to 20 to apply for and receive a provisional concealed carry permit.
Currently in Kentucky, only those age 21 or older can apply for a concealed carry of deadly weapons permit.
The bill easily passed through both chambers earlier in the session. Representative Josh Branscum and Senator Rick Girdler both voted in favor of the measure, and Branscum was a co-sponsor of the bill.
