The Laker Baseball team picked up a big district win at home last night, defeating the Clinton County Bulldogs by a score of 8-2.
The Lakers were led by a strong pitching effort from Tanner Stringer, who pitched the complete game, giving up just two runs on 6 hits and striking out 8 batters.
At the plate, Mason Jasper was 2-3 with 2 RBI. Evan Hutchison drove in a pair of runs for the Lakers and Alden Brumley added a pair of hits as well.
The Lakers return to action tonight, going on the road to take on Clinton County. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 this evening.
