The Russell County Coroner’s Office was called to a scene on Snow Road Saturday evening for a possible drowning.
Russell County Coroner Mark Coots said his office responded at about 6:00 to the scene where 75-year-old Joe Kerns was found dead from an apparent drowning in the family’s pond.
Kerns was transported to Frankfort for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Members of Russell County EMS, the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and Russell County Emergency Management assisted at the scene.
