Spring burn ban now in effect

Spring fire season begins today and runs through April 30th, according to the Kentucky Division of Forestry.

There is to be no burning except between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. or when the ground is covered with snow.

There should also be no burning within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.

Officials ask that everyone abide by the burn restrictions and consider current weather conditions when burning.
