A Russell Springs man was arrested Sunday night after local law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence in Jamestown.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Augustus Crank was arrested at the residence on Virginia Avenue just before 10:30 last night. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine – 2nd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Derek Polston said more arrests are possible as a result of the search at the residence. The case will be presented to a grand jury. Deputy Stone Bolin is leading the investigation with other members of the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene last night by members of the Russell Springs Police Department and Jamestown Police Department.
Crank was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
