This week’s fiscal court meeting began with a recognition of the county road crew, local first responders and the county magistrates for their work during the recent winter storm.
County Judge-Executive Randy Marcum said he appreciates the dedication of the county employees and first responders to go out of their way to help the community. Marcum said the FEMA and Kentucky Emergency Management representatives said Russell County was hit harder than some other nearby counties.
Marcum said the county will soon begin cleanup from the storm, which will involve cleaning up fallen trees and other debris.
