Russell County Emergency Management Director Michael Tojo Bray said warming centers will be open across the county, as winter weather and cold temperatures are set to arrive this weekend.
Bray said the county’s storm shelters will operate as warming centers.
Bray also stressed the importance of preparation ahead of the winter storm, encouraging people to make sure they have all the food, medication and supplies that they need for a few days.
