Russell Springs Police, Alcoholic Beverage Control investigate after products sold to underage customer at vape shop

The Russell Springs Police Department and Alcoholic Beverage Control are investigating an incident in which a worker at a vape shop reportedly sold products to an underage customer.

Russell Springs Police said the investigation began after Officer Chris Tweedy observed an employee at the Lucky 7 Smoke and Vape shop sell products to a customer that appeared to be underage.

The police department opened an investigation led by Officer Mason Miniard and City ABC Administrator Jeramy Coffey. The investigation led to the worker at the store being cited by police for selling tobacco products or alternative nicotine products to a person under the age of 21.

Law enforcement officials say charges are not being pursued on the store itself, but the investigation is ongoing.
