Russell Springs man taken to hospital following single-vehicle wreck on Lakeway Drive

A Russell Springs man was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle wreck on Lakeway Drive this morning.

Russell Springs Police say 18-year-old Elijah Montgomery was operating a 1997 Honda Accord eastbound on Lakeway Drive a little after 7:00 this morning when he fell asleep at the wheel, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Montgomery was transported to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
