Russell County Search & Rescue Chief Chris Money was recently selected to be part of a prestigious state-wide first responder task force.
Money was selected to be a part of Kentucky Task Force 1, which is part of the Urban Search and Rescue Branch of Kentucky Emergency Management.
Russell County Judge-Executive Randy Marcum said it’s an honor to have a Russell Countian to be selected for the role.
Justin Graves from Kentucky Emergency Management was at the Russell County Fiscal Court meeting this week and said Money was one of the most highly qualified and capable individuals for the task force.
Jerry Stephens from Russell County Search and Rescue was also selected to be a hazmat specialist for the task force as well.
