Russell County Hospital announces new program to allow students to explore careers in healthcare

Russell County Hospital has announced a new program aimed at allowing high school students to explore future careers in healthcare.

The new Health Career Explorers program is a free after-school program for students eager to explore the possibility of a career in the field of healthcare.

Students involved in the program meet once a month over the course of four months. During these meetings, students get behind-the-scenes access to Russell County Hospital, explore different departments, participate in hands-on activities & engage with healthcare professionals.

This program is open to all high school students in & around Russell County.Participants must attend all sessions & complete acceptance paperwork. Admission is limited to 10 students.

The program is in partnership with South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center & Western Kentucky University.
