Russell County Emergency Management is advising people to stay off the roadways unless absolutely necessary.
Emergency Management Director Michael Tojo Bray said roadways are slick and advised people to avoid driving if possible.
Those who are out on the roadways are advised to use extra caution, drive slow, and be on the lookout for county and state vehicles clearing roadways.
