A Pulaski County woman was sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of rape first degree – victim under 12 years of age.
32-year-old Larissa N. Wilks was sentenced in Pulaski Circuit Court this week after submitting the plea agreement.
The incident reportedly occurred this past June with the victim being six-years-old at the time. According to the Commonwealth Journal in Somerset, the investigation evolved after an initial investigation was launched into unrelated physical abuse against a 6-year-old female victim.
The child reportedly told investigators that she had also been touched inappropriately by the defendant.
Wilks will be required to be a part of a sex offender program, and will be under conditional discharge once released.
