The Eli Volunteer Fire Department has released its 2025 annual report.
In 2025, the Eli Volunteer Fire Department responded to 120 calls for service.
The department reported 7 structure fires over the course of the year, along with 79 calls to assist Russell County EMS with medical emergencies.
The department also responded to the EF-3 tornado last May, which included several days of firefighters assisting in the community.
Last year, 27 members of the Eli Fire Department completed a combined total of more than 2,300 training hours.
The department also noted in its report a significant addition in 2025: a new tanker truck the department received in October.
