A Columbia man was arrested this week for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a small child in the vehicle.
31-year-old Arthur Badillo was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, wanton endangerment first degree, possession of marijuana, failure to use a child restraint device, menacing, reckless driving, and other charges.
Columbia Police say they pulled over the vehicle Badillo was operating on Burkesville Road just after 12:45 a.m. for driving recklessly and having no tail lights. After initiating a traffic stop, police found that a 5-year-old child was in the vehicle and was not properly restrained inside.
Badillo was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
