Today is the candidate filing deadline for candidates seeking offices on the ballot in the upcoming May primary.
Candidate paperwork must be filed at the County Clerk’s office by 4 p.m. today.
County Clerk Patti Glover is reminding potential candidates that this is a strict deadline and the office cannot accept candidate paperwork turned in any later than 4 p.m.
Races on the primary ballot will include races for sheriff, magistrate seats, constables, county clerk, and others.
The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19.
