More than a dozen vehicles reportedly involved in wreck in Pulaski County Wednesday morning

Heavy fog yesterday morning is believed to be a major factor in a Pulaski County crash that involved 16 or 17 vehicles.

Officials say the crash happened at about 8:00 eastern time yesterday morning on Highway 1247 near Burnside.

According to reports, the collision began when a dump truck traveling through the area near Cooper Power Plant Road slowed down a substantial amount due to the fog and was struck from behind, causing a chain reaction involving well over a dozen vehicles.

No fatalities were reported, but three people suffered injuries, according to reports.

Kentucky State Police is investigating the collision.
