Russell County Tourism was recognized last week at the Kentucky Travel Industry Association conference.
Tourism Director Danielle Wilson and assistant Crystal Popplewell were recognized for their collaborative work with other area tourism agencies for the Lake Cumberland Wayfinding Signage Project.
The project included the installation of informational signs and kiosks at high-traffic areas on and off the water.
The project also aims to improve water safety and support emergency response efforts across the region.
