The Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team swept Cumberland County on Senior Night last night with the freshman, JV and Varsity teams all picking up wins.
The varsity team defeated Cumberland County 3 sets to 0 to pick up a win in the final district game of the regular season. The Lady Lakers will finish the regular season with a 7-1 district record.
The draw for the 16th District tournament takes place today, and the Lady Lakers should secure the top seed with that 7-1 mark.
This year’s district tournament is hosted by Monroe County.
