The Russell County Board of Education set its tax rates for the coming year at its meeting this week.
The board approved a reduction to the property tax rate, while leaving other tax rates unchanged.
With increased property valuations, the board was able to lower the tax rate for the fourth consecutive year while maintaining consistent revenue.
The tax rates were unanimously approved by the school board.
